Project Dignity provides duffle bags with gender and age-appropriate clothing, books, and personal items for foster children. It is supported by Carolinas District & BEMC grants, private donations & AA Storage in Leland NC.
In 2019, NBKC became alarmed by the growing number of foster children in Brunswick County and started Project Dignity to provide sturdy duffle bags with items the children can call their own when they are taken from their homes.
The bags are age and gender appropriate for children from one day old to eighteen years old. Project Dignity is a Kiwanis Signature Project.
We meet every third Tuesday in Blossoms Meeting Room, Magnolia Greens at 6 pm, preceded by dinner in the restaurant beginning at 4:30 pm. The public is invited to participate.
